BrightTitan Cast 2: Android N and AlphaGo

In this article, we will cover the important news of this week ( 07.03.2016 – 13.03.2016 ). It was not a busy week, but it was full of surprises.

Android N Developer Preview

Google made a big surprise for us by actually releasing the Android N Developer Preview. Even though it is not the final version, still it has very  important features. As I said, it is an early beta only for developers. That means, you should not use this preview on your main phone. Anyway, one of the most important feature is the split screen multitasking. Google for criticized when they shipped Pixel C, because Android was not really useful on tablets. However, with the Android N, tablets became more useful. Still, you cannot do fancy things that you are able to do on Samsung Tablets, but it is an important step for Google. The second important feature is the improved notification panel. There are slight ui changes in the panel such as the lack of gaps between each notification or the new quick settings. Now, you can also reply to the messages from the panel without opening the app.

Google AlphaGO Won Again

Google’s AI, AlphaGo, played the GO game with the world champion, Lee Se-Dol. It won the all three rounds. The score is 3-0. However, it is not the end of the game. Still, there are few rounds that they have to play, but I must say that Google’s AI is smarter than I thought.

Apple Will Help Its Event on March 21

Apple will introduce its new gadgets on March 21. They will announce 4inch Apple iPhone 5SE. It is basically an iPhone 5S with A9 processor, and improved camera. The second device that will be introduced in the event will be the 9.7 inch iPad Pro. We will not see an iPad Air 3, instead there will be smaller iPad Pro. This 9.7 inch iPad Pro will have all of the Pro features such as Apple Pencil, Smart KeyBoard and four speakers around the device.
