Neither Galaxy S7 nor S7 Edge Supports Quick Charge 3
Even though Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge comes with the latest technologies such as FingerPrint sensor or fast wireless charge, they lack some of the important technologies. For example, neither of S7 or S7 edge has an USB Type-C port. It is just pointless for Samsung to lack the latest USB standard on their latest flagship phones. Moreover, they also lack the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, but they use 2.0.
Even though Quick Charge 3.0 is not supported by the Exynos, it is official available with SnapDragon 820, but even if you buy the SP 820 model, still there is no QuickCharge 3.0 for you. It is unclear why Samsung decided to lack Quick Charge 3.0 support on SnapDragon 820 Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge, but it is believed that they have done this in order to fill the gap between Exynos and SnapDragon S7.
