Everything that Facebook announced in F8

FaceBook held its F8 Developers event in San Fransisco, and here is the everything that is announced in F8.

Messenger Bots

Bots are already in our lives with Slack and Telegram, and now Facebook is adding a support for bots in its messaging app “FaceBook Messenger”. The idea is same. There will be different bots from different developers ( again, it is up to developers to make bots ), and each of the bots will have different purposes. For example, you will be able to get the latest news from CNN by only typing “summary” to the CNN bot, or you can get a room for Hyatt by sending a message to them. This means you will be able to done a lot of things by sending a message. Personally, I loved the Facebook Messenger bots because of their potential. For example, there are bots in Slack, but they cannot rent a room for you or buy a plane ticket, but again, bots will improve  as developers start to make them. Right now, there are only few of them in the Messenger, but in the future, you might even see a BrightTitan bot in the Facebook Messenger.Facebook MessengerFacebook Messenger

A New 360 Camera

Right now, a lot of companies are trying to make VR products because VR is seen as the future, and here is the new 360 camera from FaceBook, but this is not for everybody. Why isn’t it for everybody? Because it costs $30,000, and just a quick reminder: you can get a Tesla Model 3 for  $35,000. However, it is one of the best VR camera that we have ever seen because as it has 17 camera, you can shot 4K, 6K or even 8K photos or videos. Actually, it is not absurd for Facebook to introduce a VR camera, because guess who owns the Oculus.

Instant Articles Can Be Used by “All” Publishers

Facebook’s “instant articles” is like Google’s AMP, and allows you to see the post without leaving the Facebook app. In the past, it could be only used by limited publishers, but now every publisher can used that. However, there is a problem. You can only register http sites to the Instant Articles, so it is wrong to use “all publishers”, so that do not expect to see us using the instant articles.
