What to expect from Google I/O 2016

This year, Google decided to hold its developer event, I/O, earlier this year, and here is what we expect from the event.

Android N

Well, Google already showed the Android N, so we can say that it is coming. We have already seen the new features such us the multitasking or redesigned notification panel. However, it looks like these are not the only features of Android N.

Android + Chrome OS

We know that Google would merge Chrome OS and Android but we have never thought that this process will take place in Google I/O. Don’t get me wrong. Still, there will be a Chrome OS, but you will be able to use Google Play Store and Android Apps on Chrome OS. This is not a rumor or leak. You can even active this feature right now, although not all features are working now.

New Google VR

Google already has a VR product named CardBoard VR but it is cheap and cannot compete with Samsung’s Gear VR headset. According to the rumors, Google will make a new VR that is not made out of Cardboard.

A Device to Compete with Alexa

Google’s Now is fine, but when it comes to compete with Siri or Alexa, it is not very strong. Again, according to the rumors, Google is making a device called Chirp that will be able to compete with Alexa.
