During the I/O 2016, Google introduced Android N’s beta which is coming with a feature called Seamless updates. This is a feature that you can also find on ChromeBooks.
Seamless update aims to make sure that your Android device has the latest version so it downloads the new updates. When you reboot your device, then this update file is being opened.
However, none of the current Android phones including the latest Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or even Nexus 6P supports the seamless updates. Right now, it is not also clear whether Google will add this feature to mid-range or just keep to the high-end phones, but it is not cool.
