iOS 10 Features: Goodbye Game Center

Well, iOS 10 is not all about new apps. With iOS 10, we are saying goodbye to one of the Apple apps and that is the “Game Center”.

Yes, that’s right. When you update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 10, you will not see the Game Center. However, still game center features will be available for the apps. This means when you open a game, you will still see the welcome message by Game Center.

The Game Center app has been removed. If your game implements GameKit features, it must also implement the interface behavior necessary for the user to see these features. For example, if your game supports leaderboards, it could present a GKGameCenterViewController object or read the data directly from Game Center to implement a custom user interface.
