iOS 10 Features: New lock screen
Even though iOS 10 has plenty of new features, new lock-screen and iMessage are the biggest changes.
First of all, Apple removed the famous “Swipe to Unlock” feature. Now, in order to unlock your device, you need to press the home button. However, still you can swipe from left to right ( old unlock gesture ) but instead of your homescreen, now you will see a widget screen where you can add Apple widgets as well as Third-Party apps. For example, you can see the weather or you can even see where you parked your car. Also, with the iOS 10, you need to swipe from right to left to open the camera app which makes it easier to access

However, new gestures are not the only changes. Notifications on the lock screen are redesigned and now you can interact with them without opening your phone. For example, when you apply pressure to a message ( 3D-Touch feature ), you will be able to write a respond as well as see the previous messages.
