Please Google, make Chrome more battery friendly

Google Chrome is a good browser; it has useful apps and a lot of extensions. It is even an operating system by itself and it is being used by a lot of people including me. However, it sucks when it comes to the battery life. Chrome literally drains your battery not only on OS X ( or with its new name: macOS ) but also on Windows.

Microsoft just made a comparison between 4 browsers ( Chrome, FireFox, Opera and of course Edge ) running on Surface Book. Even though it was not a surprise that Edge won ( in Microsoft’s own video ), Chrome was the loser … as expected.

Here are the results of the test; ( hours : minutes : seconds )

Chrome – 04 : 19 : 50

Edge – 07 : 22 : 07

FireFox – 05 : 09 : 30

Opera – 06 : 18 : 33

Please Google, can you make your own browser more power-friendly?
