Porsche unveiled the redesigned Panamera
Panamera has always been a special series because it was like the sedan version of famous 911 and the 2017 Porsche Panamera feels even more like a 911.
The biggest change is the design. Again, it looks like someone stretched out the Porsche 911 and added back seats. However, the new Panamera is big as it is even longer than the previous version.
The other most significant change is the updated interior. Besides of being bigger, it is more modern and technological. Unlike the previous model, it has a digital dashboard with two 7-inch displays but there is still an analog tachometer. Furthermore, the center screen is even bigger with the size of 12.3-inch. There is also a touch screen on the back seats and similarly to the new BMW 7 series, the buttons on the middle console have been removed and now if you need to use them, you need to touch to their icon.
Anyway, let’s talk about motor options because we are talking about Porsche. You have a couple of options with the 2017 Panamera including Panamera 4S, 4S Diesel, and Turbo. Under the hood of 4S lies 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 with 440 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. 4S can speed to 60mph ( 100 km ) in 4.2 seconds. Turbo, on the other hand, comes with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 with 550 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. Turbo is faster as you would expect as it goes from zero to 60mph in 3.6 seconds ( 3.4 with the Sport Chrono Pack ).
