Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to feature an iris scanner

It is not the first time that we are hearing about Note 7’s “Iris Scanner”. However, it is the first time that we have a solid leak about it.

This week, a screenshot from Samsung Galaxy Beta Program has leaked. It shows an option for iris scanning along side with fingerprint sensor under the Privacy settings. Even though it is not clear, this may belong to upcoming Note 7.

Also, it is worth mentioning that Samsung sent 200 units of Iris Scanners from South Korea to India. It is believed that Samsung is currently testing them. However, still there is a chance for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ( or Note 6 ) to lack the Iris Scanner but it would be interesting to see it on this year’s Note.

In the matter of Note 7’s specs, it will have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display ( 1440p ) and will be powered by SnapDragon 823 with 6GB of RAM.
