Yep, this processor has 1.000 cores
Even though Intel’s i7 Extreme series processors are amazing at gaming, when it comes to a complex job such as encryption, 4 core processors are not the best option.
That is why the University of California designed world’s first 1.000 core processor named KiloCore. However, it is manufactured by IBM based on their old 32nm CMOS chip ( not the new one though ).
KiloCore can handle 1.78 trillion instructions and as each core can run independently, KiloCore can be so effective in terms of power usage. Furthermore, according to the University, KiloCore is 100 times more effective than a modern laptop processor.
