Redmi Pro is Xiaomi’s newest flagship phone
Today, Xiaomi also introduced Redmi Pro along side with their first laptop, Mi Notebook Air.
It is being named as Pro because it is Xiaomi’s flagship phone that is placed above the current Mi5.
Redmi Pro uses the traditional Xiaomi design that we have seen on Mi5 as well. However, there are little differences between Pro’s design and Mi 5’s design. To start with, Redmi Pro comes with built in fingerprint sensor and also let’s not forget Redmi Pro’s signature dual camera setup. There are two different cameras on the back; one of them being a 13 my camera and the second one being a 5. All together, they supposed to have dslr quality although we can’t prove it yet.
However, Redmi Pro is not only Xiaomi’s first phone with dual camera but also their first phone with an OLED display. On the front, there is a 5.5-inch OLED display but it’s resolution is only Full HD.
Under the hood, there lies either MediaTek Helio X20 or X25 with either 3GB of RAM or 4 depending on the main storage. If you choose to buy 32GB variant, then you will only get Helio X20 and 3GB RAM. However, 64 GB variant has X25 but again only comes with 3GB. If you want the most powerful version, then you need to buy the 128GB version which uses X25 as well as 4GB of RAM.
32GB Main Storage / Helio X20 / 3GB RAM
64GB Main Storage / Helio X25 / 3GB RAM
128GB Main Storage / Helio X25 / 4GB RAM
Least powerful variant costs 1,499 ( around $225) while the most powerful version has a price tag of 1,999 yuan ( about $300 ).
