Bang & Olufsen has a new 4K Android TV
Bang & Olufsen is famous with its high-quality speakers as well as with it’s extremely expensive TVs. Even though their most of the speakers support latest standards, their TVs were getting older. For example, B&O didn’t have any 4K TVs until now.
New BioVision 14 is based on the iconic design of BioVision 10 and is an example of what Bang & Olufsen is capable of.
New features that really cares about lighting
Offered in two sizes, 40 and 55-inch, BioVision 14 includes direct-type LED LCD panel which means the LEDs are located behind the screen ( instead of the edges ) in order to ensure that light is distributed fully and evenly. The screen also comes with new anti-reflection panel which supposedly prevent 98% of reflections. Also, BioVision 14 is capable of sensing the light around it thanks to 360-degree light sensor. With this technology, TV adjusts the image for the environment.
Bang & Olufsen’s first UHD TV
BioVision 14 is B&O’s first UHD TV which is a great improvement over the last generation’s Full HD screen. However, unlike most of the new flagship TVs, BioVision 14 does not support HDR for some reason.
It is also B&O’s first Android TV
The other significant change over the last generation is replacing the Bang & Olufsen’s own software with Android TV. With this replacement, you can now download apps and games.
Android TV also allows users to stream content from their mobile devices. The feature is based on ChromeCast protocols.
Bang & Olufsen is professionalized on sound which is also reflected on the new BioVision 14.
Under the oak wood lamellas, three-way speakers are located. Also, in order for sound to pass through the wood, B&O used the same essential techniques that you can also see on BeoLab 18 speakers that use wood lamellas as well.
BioVision 14 also supports Bang & Olufsen Multiroom network which makes it easier to sync the music between B&O devices.
“BeoRemote One Bluetooth”
BioVision 14 comes with new controller named as BeoRemote One Bluetooth. As it can be understood from its name, the remote uses Bluetooth in order to extend the range. Thanks to Bluetooth, you no longer have to point the remove to TV either.
BeoRemote One Bluetooth only comes with 4 buttons called “MyButtons”. You can program each of them to do certain jobs
Available in Europe ( and coming to US soon ), BeoVision 14 is priced at 6,365€ for the 40-inch model and 8.565€ for the bigger, 55″ one.
