Google is working on a new router which will cost $129
Google already has a router called OnHub which was actually made by Asus. However, it looks like Google is interested in making its own router which will be named as “Google Wifi”. According to AndroidPolice, Google Wifi will be announced on October 4 alongside with Pixel X, XL, and 4K-ready ChromeCast Ultra.
Report claims that Google Wifi will have the smart features that we have seen on OnHub but presumably, it will allow you to create a network consist of multiple routers, a technology aimed to solve the biggest issue of 5GHz which is the limitation over the range. There are already routers allowing you to do the same thing. For example, Eero which costs $199. However, Google’s solution will cost $129.
