Do you ever use the headphone jack on MacBook Pro?

“Do you ever use the headphone jack on your MacBook Pro with the Retina display?” It is one of the several questions asked to the MacBook Pro users by Apple itself.

Removal of the headphone jack

This is especially interesting when you consider that a new MacBook Pro is coming and Apple didn’t include a headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

As far as we know though, upcoming Pro includes 4 USB Type-C ports and a headphone jack after all. However, we will not be surprised if Apple just decides to remove the 3.5mm jack with the upcoming Macs.

However, as I noted in my article about the removal of the 3.5mm jack, this will have bad affects to Apple’s ecosystem. With iPhones, you will be able to use only lightning headphones ( if you don’t want to have wireless ones ). Meanwhile, with Macs, you will need to use USB Type-C headphones. That is a problem.
