It looks like 2016 MacBook Pro will have only Type-C ports
It has been a while since Apple updated the MacBook Pro lineup. Normally, they were updating their laptops in the first quarter of the year, but we are at the end of the 2016. However, according to Macotakara, the 2016 MacBook Pro will be finally unveiled on the October 27th.
The report says that the new model will ditch every port, but will add two Type-C ports. Exactly, what Apple did with the new MacBook. This way, the computer will be way thinner than the current model. By the way, there is a headphone jack on the new model, so nothing to worry about yet. The report also suggests that Apple is going to replace the current function keys with “Dynamic Function Row”, a touchscreen OLED strip lying above the keyboard.
On the other hand, we may actually see an update for the MacBook Air lineup as well. As the Apple will going to remove the 11-inch model, its big brother will have new changes, which, so far, is only replacing the normal USB ports with the Type-C ports.
