If you are a PS4 user, you will get the Fallout 4 and Skyrim mods after all
Normally, Fallout 4 and the upcoming Skyrim Remastered would support mods. However, Bethesda made an official announcement about a month ago saying that they abandoned their plans.
According to them, their idea of how the mods should work like was different than Sony’s ideas and this way, Sony would not approve those different ones. Bethesda described this situation by saying “Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work”. Nevertheless, it looks like both companies agreed on a middle way and mods are coming after all. Those mods on PS4 will allow you to modify and create your own content by using their “creation kit”. For this though, you will need a Bethesda.net account. Then, you will be able to try mods within the game. Even though you are not given a privilege to upload your own external assets, you can use any assets that come with the game.
Skyrim remastered will have a mod support on PS4 when it will be launched on 28 October. Skyrim will also support native 4K rendering for the PS4 Pro. On other hand, the Fallout 4 will be updated with the mod support and 4K rendering later in an unknown date.
