Live streaming is definitely becoming more and more popular each day. After YouTube, Facebook started to allow users to live stream from their mobile devices. And now, it looks like Instagram will be the next media source to get a live video feature.
According to the T Journal , a Nexus 6P user in Russia spotted this feature in the beta version of Instagram. As far as we understand, the live video feature will be embedded into the explore tab. You will be able to see the popular live streams in there alongside with popular Instagram Stories. If you want to start a live video though, you need to click on the big red button saying “Go Insta”. It also appears that you will be given an ability to schedule your live streaming.
However, it is needed to mention that this feature is not working yet. T Journal says that when the user who found this feature actually clicked on the button, he was redirected to a page where he was retuned with an error.
