Apple fixes iPhone 6’s touch disease

For months, the users of iPhone 6 Plus have been complaining about an important issue with their phones. Called as “touch disease”, this problem literally makes your touchscreen useless, and shows a grey  line at the top of the screen. The worst part is that until today, Apple even didn’t acknowledge the existence of the problem, and the users were forced to go to third-party repair services.

Apple iPhone 6 Touch Disease

Now, Apple launched a new repair program for iPhone 6 Plus models with such a problem. However, it is not free. If you happen to have the touch disease on your phone and want to fix it, Apple will solve your problem for $149.

Even though it is not exactly a nice move from Apple, the company claims that the problem happens only if the phone is being dropped multiple times on a hard surface.

This program also concerns the users who already paid to fix their devices. Those will be contacted by Apple, and if they are eligible for a reimbursement, the company will pay the difference between the money they gave for the original repair and the new $149 price.
