First Inspire drone was a very capable drone, but it failed to reach to a decent point. However, with Inspire 2, DJI not only solved the problems of the first one, but they even added new functions and capabilities. One of them was the increased top speed. Normally, DJI Inspire 2 could reach to a top speed of 67 mph. Besides, it could reach 50 mph in four seconds. Not anymore though.
Last night, DJI announced that their new professional drone, Inspire 2 will have a limited top speed. Now, the drone can only reach to 58 mph, down from 67. Also, it now takes a second longer for drone to reach 50 mph.
This, according to DJI, is made to ensure that the speed does not compromise video quality and stability, which makes sense. DJI Inspire 2 is designed to provide the best picture quality, not to race around.
Even though it won’t make a huge difference in the real life, if you pre-ordered the drone just because it could pass the 60 mph barrier, the company is offering full-refunds.
