Donald Trump is the new president of the United States
On November 8th, United States held its presidency elections, and the winner is Donald Trump. He may be a successful businessman, but he has no political experience at all. However, he got a huge success over Hilary Clinton who would be the first woman president of the United States of America if she was elected.
According to AP, Donald Trump won the race with 56,897,955 popular votes and 276 electoral votes whereas Clinton got 55,877,015 popular votes and 218 electoral votes. It means the Republican candidate lost the game with a big failure. It was thought that a big fund on a woman who has been in the political world for a long time would be enough to win the elections. However, obviously, it was not. Even though Trump got many belittlements from the media, it is not open to a question that he successfully managed to make a large percent of the country to believe in him and even support him no matter what he did.
The question that should be asked in this step is what is next?
The biggest proposal he has given is the effort to build a wall between USA and Mexica with the hope of stopping illegal immigrants. This project is huge in terms of sizes, and it is believed that such a project would cost $25 billion. Furthermore, he wants Mexica to pay this amount of money.
The second thing you should expect from his presidency is the ban of Muslims. He said that he was thinking about “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.” This proposal was made right after the massacre in San Bernardino, California. Even though there are many terrorist groups who claims to be “Muslims”, it means neither they are truly Muslims nor other Islamic people are terrorists.
Even thought there are some other proposals as well, those two are the biggest and most conspicuous ones.
As a result, it is clear that Trump is a threat to United State’s democracy and to the freedom of people living in the US. Berlin Wall was destroyed exactly 27 years ago today, and now, the new president of the US is considering to build a wall between two nation.
