Firefox Focus is for privacy

Privacy is such a  big deal for some  people. However, it is hard to protect your privacy especially when most of the sites you enter try to track you. That is the why Firefox Focus has been released.

First of all, it is not a new feature for the current Firefox browser, but instead a new app for iOS. Even though it does not have all the features you can find on Safari or Chrome, its main purpose is making private searches. To do so, Firefox Focus comes with built-in ad and cookie blocking.

However, the app is not a VPN service, which means it can’t prevent either your Internet Service Provider or your government from spying you. Rather, it is a tool to keep your local browsing history clean. In other words, it is basically Chrome’s incognito mode with built-in features to stop ads and cookies.

So far, Firefox Focus is only available for iOS, but the company said that they will consider building an Android version depending on the success of the iOS app.
