Visual Studio is coming to Mac

Microsoft just announced that they will bring Visual Studio, an IDE software which can be used to create Windows applications as well as web sites, web applications and app servers, is coming to Mac. In the past, Visual Studio was only available for Windows, but as many companies, including Microsoft, are moving towards the cloud services, it is becoming harder and harder for them to limit themselves to their own platforms.

Despite the fact that it is a part of Microsoft’s plans to base their services into cloud operations, it was a needed step. That is especially true when you consider the changes with programming applications. While code tasks were made on a local server in the past, those tasks are usually being carried on cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft’s Azure.

Even though many of the developers have been waiting for such a news, it is a brilliant step for Microsoft as well, which obviously wants to attract Mac and iOS developers. Microosft will unveil the software in Microsoft’s Connect(); which will be take place later this week.
