Ferrari, one of the most well known Italian automobile manufacturers, is closing 2016 with a decent celebration. Ferrari’s long-awaited secret project finally came out. With the event held in Japan, the J50, which faces the entire world, ,was announced to celebrate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary in Japan. Before moving on to the design and technical details of the J50, there is a sentence that is related to design before. It is the most different Ferrari design in recent times.

Until then, from the time of Maranello, there were dozens of Cult Ferrari models. Dino, Testarossa, Mondial, GTO, F40, Enzo and Quantel are the exclusive models that Ferrari presents to the automobile world. The J50, which the Ferrari will limit to just 10 production units, leaves out all the Ferrari designs we have seen recently, especially with the front design. The J50, which was developed on the 488 Spider, has a design with tar lines used in the 70’s and 80’s. The front of the J50 features LEV panels that are marked with a line along with the facial lines. Besides, the back panel of the seats are carbon finer instead of metal. When we look at J50 from any angle, we see a separate Ferrari genetics. Located on the backside and positioned in two discrete structures, the lights are among the other standard layer design details we have not seen since the F430, and which are not present with the J50. We see that the Ferrari completes the exterior design with 20-inch wheels, along with the design details that resemble the time-tunnel. Inside the car is a cockpit with leather and alcantara components that we are used to seeing in today’s Ferrari models.

When the subject is a Ferrari, the engine deserves a special interest, of course. In the J50, the 8-cylinder twinTurbo unit is 3.9 liters in volume, is producing 680 horsepower. The remaining numerical parameters have not yet been formalized due to the fact that Ferrari has not given technical details about the car in the context of the promotion. Based on estimations made on the standard 488 Spider, we can say that the maximum speed values ​​of 0-100 in 3 seconds and 325 km in hour are the expected figures. The price of the Ferrari J50, which users can enrich with additional options, is not yet explained.
