Euro NCAP announced the best rated ( or safest, in other words ) automobiles in their segment. List, “Safest Car of the Year in their Class” is being regularly published by Euro NCAP at the end of the each year. As we are preparing to leave the 2016 behind, they officially announced the winners. With the emerging electronic systems, we are now witnessing the arrival of new standards in the safety tests. Technologies such as fully or semi-autonomous driving are now taking the place among the other criterias in safety tests.
Based on technologies the automobile companies provide to make the overall driving experience easier and safer for the drivers, Euro NCAP awarded the Hyundai’s newest car, Ioniq, as the safest car among the “Small Family Cars”; Toyota Prius among the “Large Family Cars”; and finally, the refreshed Volkswagen Tiguan among the “Small SUVs”. Following the announcement of the Euro NCAP, it was not too late to share the winner’s testing process. Here are the test stages of the safest cars of their segment.
