Acer has a new ChromeBook

The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 stands out as the perfect choice for schools and school grounds that requires a reliable, powerful, and quiet devices that is suitable for learning by students with a long battery life and fanless design. The robustness and design features of the Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) ensure maximum uptime and help reduce IT maintenance. According to Acer, the device passed some of the tests. The MIL-STD 810G is based on rigorous testing for compliance with military standards. This military feature test confirms the strength, durability and quality of the Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) so that it can be trained for a variety of locations for students.


The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) can handle up to 60 kg of power down the top door, and even if students have packed the device into their backpacks, the reinforced casings and hinges are extremely resistant to bending and stretching. In addition, the corner-guarded structure and rubber-tamped keyboard surrounds can protect the Chromebook further, allowing for drops down to 122 cm. These features ensure that the Chromebook is protected when rolled over or accidentally dropped by the table. The anti-slip texture on the back frame makes it easier to grasp the device and helps prevent the students from missing their hands.



The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) has a liquid-resistant keyboard that protects against spillage up to 330 ml of water. The unique groove system beneath the keyboard and touchpad allows water to drain from the bottom of the laptop and move away from internal parts.


Another new feature that comes with the Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) is a recessed-key keyboard design that makes it easy for students to remove the keyholes. In addition, many of the keyboards were designed to provide a perfect writing experience for students learning to use the new keyboard.


The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) has a fanless design that provides cool and quiet operation. Thus, no additional noise is added to a class already full of students. At the same time, reliability has increased because there is no need for ventilation, which can lead to airflow problems and problems such as dust dissipation.


Administrators and teachers will not worry about charging the Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) because battery life of up to 12 hours is sufficient for days of use in the class. This long battery life is also ideal for 1: 1 programs where students use Chromebooks all day long at school and then take home to do homework and have fun. Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731), powered by Intel Celeron dual-core processors, delivers solid performance every day, at least, unless you plan to do heavy things.

The Acer C731T has a 11.6-inch IPS touch screen, while the C731 has a non-touch standard display. The touchscreen allows students to become more involved as they benefit from touch actions on any web page or application, both single and group settings. The screen has a resolution of 1366 × 768, which according to Acer ensures that applications and text are sharp and legible, while also keeping videos and photos alive. However, for the 2017 standard, it is a low resolution. Also, it’s hinge is designed to open 180 degrees, so that it can be laid flat on the sequence for sharing in some specific lessons such as laboratory lessons.  The device is only 0.87 inches (22mm) thick and weighs 2.98 pounds (1.35 kg).


The Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) will also have additional features over the coming months, thanks to the planned support for Android apps through the Google Play Store.


Students can stay connected to campus networks with fast dual-band 2 × 2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The device can easily connect to the accessories via Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 and one HDMI port. Students can plug their headphones into a 3.5 mm composite audio port. Files can be transferred to the device’s internal SD card reader.


The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731) supports multi-user login to keep every student’s data safe. Students can easily connect to their projects, Gmail accounts, and other information by logging into their own account, even if the Chromebook is lost or stolen. It keeps storage files, documents and photos on Google Drive securely on the cloud portal and ensures that the most up-to-date version is always available. (4) Students can also access their files offline and even open and edit Microsoft Office documents and Google documents.
