App Store is doing really good

The App Store, which closed the last year very favorably for both developers and customers, made a pretty good start to the new year. The Apple announced on January 1 that it is currently experiencing its most intense sales moment with App Store.

According to information from the Cupertino company, the developers have made a significant start to 2017, enabling the App Store to reach the highest sales figure in a day with around US $ 240 million on the first day of the new year.

Apple shared record sales information on January 1, 2017 and shared some important details about the rest of 2016. Developers totaled $ 20 billion, up 40 percent from the previous year. Apple App Store subscription revenue grew 74 percent to $ 2.7 billion since 2015.

Super Mario Run was the most downloaded game both at the end of the last year and the first day of the new year. Nintendo is accompanied by Pokemon Go, a year-end hit, popular in the middle of the year but not yet officially distributed in most countries, and these two games are among the top 10 games of the year 2016. Pokemon Go was the most downloaded game throughout the year though.

While the US, China, Japan and the United Kingdom are the most profitable global markets, China’s market has grown by 90 percent in a year. The most winning developers came from China, Finland, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. Tencent and NetEase companies in China took the first two orders, followed by Finland-based Supercell.

According to Apple, the App Store currently serves 155 countries and currently offers 2.2 million apps. This shows that the total number of applications increased by 20 percent compared to the past year. Apple also launched an app store for iMessage in 2016, where more than 21 iMessage apps were available.

The Apple App Store also hosted two separate campaigns in 2016, along with the World Wildlife Fund (RED) on the App Store. These campaigns, named Apps for Earth and Games for (RED) respectively, have helped Apple customers around the world help protect the life on the planet and participate in fighting with AIDS. The special content created by developers participating in this campaign helped these two institutions collect a total of $ 17 million.
