Asus ZenFone AR has Google Tango
The ZenFone AR, which Asus plans to introduce at CES this week, was unveiled earlier thanks to Qualcomm. A visual that belongs to this smartphone with Google Tango support, showing it from the front and from the back, was also shared by the popular leak source @evleaks.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon blog has a story about the Asus ZenFone AR. This phone is said to be the second phone to use Google Tango after the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. Tango is a proprietary technology from Google that boasts enhanced reality features. It’s also worth mentioning that Google still needs a lot of effort on top of the project.
In the meantime, the ZenFone AR will have a Snapdragon 821 processor like the Google Pixel and OnePlus 3T. It will also be Google Daydream-enabled, so for the first time we’ll see a phone that combines two of Google’s technologies, Tango and Daydream. According to Qualcomm blog post, ZenFone AR will also be compatible with Google’s Daydream View virtual reality headline.
We need to wait for all the technical features and price of Asus ZenFone AR on Wednesday, until the time of the CES press conference that the Taiwanese company will organize.
