BMW, one of the brands that exhibited its future at CES 2017, will partner with Microsoft to offer intelligent assistant integration ( Cortana, in this case ) in its in-car multimedia system.


Nowadays, our intelligent assistants who are guests to our homes are making sure that cars are indispensable equipment too. At CES 2017 under the auspices of autonomous driving technology and future car concepts, BMW officially announced the launch of a new era in Connected Car technology. In this context, the German giant, which is partnering with Microsoft, announced that Cortana, a personal assistant developed by Microsoft for the multimedia system, will be included.



“The accessible driving experience will be improved with voice control along with intelligent systems,” said BMW, who stated that Cortana could complete all the work that the users would need in everyday use by voice command. Following the integration of Cortana into the BMW multimedia system, Calendar information, reminder, upcoming event management, to-do list and access to internet-based breaking news will be supported with this feature. Cortana, which will be the biggest supporter of users for navigation and personal bookings, also emphasized that plans of BMW to integrate the services such as , Amazon Prime into the multimedia system.
