GoPro Karma is coming back
GoPro announced in a press release that it plans to resume Karma drone again this year. The company noted that it continued to test its GoPro Karma to bring it back to a flying state, giving more details early on this month about Karma being put on the global market again.
Karma was introduced in the September of 2016. However, this drone, which had a foreign sales price of 799 dollars, withdrew from the market shortly after it was put on the market in October and the products sold were recalled. It has been shown that some of the 2,500 Karma drone sold as the cause of the recall was the drone losing its power in the air.
In addition to reports that GoPro Karma is not dead, GoPro’s press release mentions that Karma’s problem is a mechanical issue related to the fixation of Drone’s battery.
For GoPro, things did not go well in 2016, and Karma’s recall of everything had poured salt on it. The company’s stock prices declined year-on-year. Three weeks after Karma’s call for recall, the 15 percent slice of the employee was removed. This was the second wave of job cuts in 2016.
