Instagram Stories have now ads
After Facebook decided to put ads within their own videos, now, similar decision came from Instagram. The photo sharing platform will soon start showing sponsored content between Stories.
As you know Instagram has a feature that they borrowed from Snapchat, which is named as Stories. This area, which is used by 150 million people daily, will now be open to advertisements. According to The Telegraph, the images used as advertisements will be 5 seconds and the videos will be 15 seconds long. When switching from one user’s story to another, there will be a gap between them. Those who desire will be able to pass these ads easily.
Instagram has contracted more than 30 companies for advertisements in the Storyboard section. These include Airbnb, Nike and Netflix. It is unclear for now how long we will begin to see these ads.
