New iPads are coming in April
The new iPad models are being spoken aloud for selling in the first half of 2017. A new report by Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate analysis and foresight on Apple products, supports this claim.
Kuo, who works at KGI Securities, said that Apple will market three new iPad models in April. The third of the new tablets will be in the iPad Pro family, the analyst also gave information about the screen dimensions. Saying that the 12.9-inch screen will not be changed, Kuo added that the thin-frame 10.5-inch and affordable 9.7-inch display models will meet users.
Apple’s 12.9 and 10.5-inch screens are expected to have an A10X processor. The processor is a more powerful version of the one used on the iPhone 7. On the 9.7 inch screen, another version of the A9 processor on the iPhone 6s will be found.
Kuo expects the 9.7-inch display model to account for 60% of Apple’s shipments of iPad in 2017. Despite a 10 percent decline in shipments on an annualized basis, the average sales price of new models is expected to increase Apple’s revenue.
Kuo’s reports that the iPad mini is not mentioned. Apple’s most portable tablet has not been refreshed since 2015.
