Samsung has new gaming laptops

Although Samsung, which has a variety of products, has produced quite good laptops for many years, it has maintained its distance from the gaming computers. However, this changed with CES 2017. Samsung introduced its new notebook, which is called Odyssey and centered on the gamers. The Notebook Odyssey was available is two different screen size options, 15.6 and 17.3 inches.

Samsung will be introducing the first version of the notebook Odyssey with a 15.6 inch screen. For the computer that reflects the classic line of gaming computers in terms of appearance, black and white color options can be chosen. In the 17.3-inch version, the color will be presented in black only. On the 15.6 inch screen, the keys of the keyboard are illuminated with red light from the back. In the 17.3-inch version, users will be able to customize these colors.

The entries in the Samsung Notebook Odyssey also differ between the two versions. The 17.3-inch version features Thunderbolt 3 input, 2 USB 3.0 inputs, HDMI, Ethernet, headphone and microphone inputs. The 15.6-inch version does not include the Thunderbolt 3 input, and the USB 3.0 input counts down. This version comes with two USB 2.0 ports, headphone and mic in via a common point.

Both versions of the Notebook Odyssey have Intel’s seventh-generation, quad-core Core i7 processors. Memory options extend to 32 GB DDR4 on the 15.6-inch model and 64 GB DDR4 RAM on the 17.3 model. Offering bonus options for storage space, Samsung is able to reach 1 TB HDD storage on a 256 GB SSD in a 15.6 inch Notebook Odyssey. In the 17.3-inch display version, the maximum SSD storage space is up to 512 GB. The small Samsung version has a Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics processor. Bigger version of the graphics processor is not given information for now.

Samsung is continuing its development work on the 17.3-inch Notebook Odyssey. So it is not yet clear when this model will be marketed. However, the 15.3-inch Samsung Notebook Odyssey will be available for sale at prices starting at $ 1199 next month.
