Yahoo is now called as “Altaba”
It turns out that Yahoo will be making significant changes within the company as to be purchased by Verizon. Both the name ( which will be Altaba ) and the managers of the company are changing.
While Verizon continues to move on to make the purchase decision, the CEO Marrisa Mayer left the board. Together with Mayer, five senior executives left the board.
According to a statement from the Verizon, these changes were not part of the dispute, but part of the technical process of the purchase by Verizon.
Yahoo as an investment company
After the company’s Internet assets go to Verizon, the search engine company will continue to be an independent investment company, and the new name will be Altaba. This investment company will also have Alibaba’s shares.
Mayer’s investment company is not expected to continue the referral. Whether it will manage Yahoo’s assets purchased by Verizon is not certain, but even if she continues, she will not replace any promises and will not act without approval from the Verizon administration, as she was during Yahoo’s CEO’s.
