Ferrari 812 Superfast

812 Superfast is the fastest Ferrari ever

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was known for one thing; with its V12 engine. Now, 4 years after the introduction of the Berlinetta, Ferrari revealed the 812 Superfast. As F12 was a cross-reference to the car’s engine with 12 cylinders, the name “super fast” ( clearly ) shows that it is a fast car. In fact, it is the fastest car Ferrari ever produced.

This week, hundreds of automobile manufacturers are showing their new models at the Geneva Motor Show. Even though the majority of the vehicles are for the regular people, there are few cars that only few of us can buy. For example, Pagani’s new Huayra Roadster or Ferrari’s new 812. The Ferrari 812 Superfast, which is the model to be followed by the twelve-cylinder class after the F12 Berlinetta, not only includes mechanical changes, but also the design changes.

Design

In fact, the name Superfast is something we are used to see in Ferrari’s history. 812, which resembles the name of 500 Superfast models produced between 1964 and 1965, has a design language that is similar to the one used on the F12. When we look closely at the model, which is shaped on similar design lines, we see that the front fan group has undergone an obvious change.

On the front side, there are changes in the air ducts along with the additions of the new clappers which can be actively opened and closed according to the speed level of the vehicle, which is provided to make the vehicle more effective in terms of aerodynamics. On the back, we see that the headlamp group, which is placed in a single block in F12, divides into two pieces with the new model. There is a visible change in the diffuser as well as the rear lights.

Ferrari 812 Superfast | Interior

812 Superfast, which has no dimensional difference from the F12, has a length of 4.657 millimeters, a width of 1.971 millimeters and a height of 1.276 millimeters. The total weight of the vehicle is 1,525 kilograms. When we get inside, we are faced with a completely renewed steering wheel as a design. The 812 Superfast comes with steering wheel and small changes made in the cockpit.

Infrastructure & Engine

The rear-wheel-drive 812 Superfast features Side Slip Control, an electronic stability control system familiar to the previous Ferrari models. The new four-wheel control (Four Whell Steering) with all-new electronic steering is a particularly advantageous position, particularly in low turn diameters.

As with the F12 Berlinetta, the engine of the 812 Superfast, a car that you can easily feel the power of the engine on your back, has been upgraded to a 6.5-liter capacity with an increase of 200cc. This engine with a small increase in volume has a torque of 789 horsepower and 718 Nm. Combined with a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox, the 812 Superfast, which can reach from 0 to 100 in 2.9 seconds, has a maximum speed of 340 kilometers per hour. Along with body modifications, the 812 Superfast, which is at a better point with its pushing power, is confronted as one of the fastest cars Ferrari has ever produced with the LaFerrari. We will have a chance to take a closer look at the 812 Superfast in Geneva, where the relevant price and production figures are not yet shared.
