Apple announced the “iPad”

Apple has a new surprise. It is a 9.7-inch tablet, simply named as the “iPad”. The model which is the most affordable iPad as of now comes in three color options: silver, gold and space grey. Unlike the 9.7-inch Pro, it provides a lower performance.

As is known, the 9.7-inch Pro model has the A9X processor. This processor is accompanied by the M9 coprocessor. While the small Pro model is only 6.1 mm thick, the new iPad is 7.5 mm thick. Compared to Wi-Fi versions, the new iPad is 25 grams heavier than the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. At the back of the 469-gram tablet, we have an 8-megapixel camera with an F / 2.4 aperture that can record 30 frames of Full HD video in seconds. It does not support 4K video recording though. On the front is a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera. The iPad also features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Since it is not located in the “Pro” series, the device does not have a smart connector and/or Apple Pencil support.

“IPad is the world’s most popular tablet. Customers like to watch TV and movies on the big 9.7-inch screen, surf the Internet, make FaceTime calls, look at photos. and it now costs less, “said Philip Schillesr, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.

The new model which looks like a good option for those considering buying a 9.7-inch tablet, will be available for pre-order on March 24 at 18:01. In Europe, the tablets will be presented to the market in April. The 32 GB version will be offered from $399 and the 128 GB version will be offered to users in the price of  $429. If you are planning to buy a version with LTE support, the price increases to $459 or $559 depending on the storage.
