Bose is accused of spying on users

Bose, which is one of the first brands to come to mind when it comes to speakers and headphones, is best known for its high-level active noise cancellation system, especially in headphones. If the allegations directed at the company are confirmed, it appears to be a major scandal.

Connect , which is an app allowing users to connect their phones with the Bose branded wireless headphones , receives a lot of information and shares those with a 3rd party company. The company, who created a massive database of users’ music habits by sending information about the music that is transmitted to the headset or loudspeaker to the named company, neither notified users about this nor asked for their permission. It is therefore said that the buyers of the headsets, whether they wanted it or not, have become the target of data hunters and share the most valuable thing with other companies.

If Bose loses this case, the famous company expects huge problems, because the loss of the case can put the company in a difficult situation against millions of users whose information are shared without permission. The company is supposed to pay millions of dollars in compensation in such a case. We will all see together how Bose, who refrains from making a statement about the subject, will sort out the consequences of this case.
