Future Design of Mercedes

Mercedes a Class concept

Future Design of Mercedes

With its new concept, the German car maker, Mercedes showed the new design language that they will include in their future vehicles to compete with  Audi and BMW.

As of now, there is a huge competition between those three major German companies in every segment including the compact one, which will be changed with the inclusion of the Mercedes. The Sedan concept, which the brand introduced in the context of the Shanghai Auto Show, is home to the first tips of the design language that will be used in this family as well as in other models. This means that we will see this design language in the future with A-Class, B and C family.

When we look at the dimensions of A Sedan, we see 4.570 millimeters in length, 1.870 millimeters in width and 1.462 millimeters in length. The design that the company previously used in the GT-R concept has been used in the A-Class as well with a redesigned front gri and large wheels. Especially the biggest criticism about the design which will be transferred to the sedan via the hatchback form is that it is deteriorated according to the hatchback model as it goes to the back side. It is possible to say that Mercedes is successful in the Sedan concept just like Audi in the A3 Saloon.

One of the key features of the concept that keeps the interior of Mercedes hidden is in the lighting group. The lights specified by the marking authorities to be covered with UV paint are reflecting in different colors according to the distance of the vehicle during the day. In a way, these lights, which we can characterize as a dynamic headlight, will be developed in the future models. Let’s note the fact that we can see the BMW 1 Series Sedan in a more extensive market after this move.
