Apple iPhone 8 ( without Touch ID )

Next iPhone won’t have a Touch ID

The design of the iPhone 8 is expected to be very different than the current models with great innovations in the sense of design. It is said that the Touch ID fingerprint reader will be buried in the screen when the frames are going to be removed. However, what if Apple fails to place the Touch ID inside the screen? Looks like there is a “B” plan for the technology giant.

As you know, Samsung was planning to put the fingerprint reader on the screen with the Galaxy S8. The company even invested millions of dollars in Synaptics for this and it did its best to place the fingerprint reader on the screen. But later on, the Samsung decided to place it near the camera, as they could not keep up with this technology. Apple is preparing to try a different way. According to the claim, Apple may abandon the reader completely if they can’t place it beneath the screen. Currently, it is clear that the future of face detection will make it possible to replace the fingerprint sensors with such technologies. Apple believes that the fingerprint reader can be replaced as they are already confident of the face detection system. However, since many of the face scanners may not work in some environments, it seems like Apple is simply making a risky move to equip their devices with this technology.
