Samsung is doing great

Last year, Galaxy Note 7 had a great deal of problems, but it was not a bad year for the company, and Samsung had a new record in this quarter. According to the quarterly figures, Samsung has the most profitable quarter since 2013, owing to semiconductor production as much as it is in flagship and mid-segment smartphones.

In the first quarter of 2017, the technology giant, which increased operational profit by 48 percent, succeeded in achieving a profit of $ 8.8 billion. Net profit in the same period increased by 46 percent to 6.8 billion dollars. While the amount of profit increased, total income was also increased. Earning $ 44.01 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2016, Samsung succeeded in earning $ 44.7 billion in the first quarter of 2017. Operational profit of mobile devices is decreasing though. It is noteworthy that the figure of 3.4 billion dollars last year has decreased by 47 percent to 1.8 billion dollars this year. The company, which generated $ 5.57 billion in sales from semiconductor sales, has a total revenue of $ 13.8 billion. DRAM and SSD sales are on the rise.

With the recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note7, Samsung was struggling with its Galaxy S7 and its competitors for only one year. In the mid-segment, Samsung is well-received thanks to the Galaxy A and other series, and in the second quarter of 2017, their revenue is expected significantly with the high number of Galaxy S8 sales.
