Google redesigned the Play Store

Google Play Store Icon

Google redesigned the Play Store

The Google Play Store icon has been updated, removed the shopping bag. The change began to be reflected in Android users as of yesterday. Noticing this change, the Android Police indicted that the notification icons are also slightly different. Instead of the outgoing shopping bag, now only a triangular icon is shown.

Google has already removed the shopping bag from Pixel devices that use the rounded application icon. Also, some Android devices that use customized icon packs did not show a shopping bag in the content store icon.

As a matter of fact, it makes sense to remove the shopping bag from Google’s content store icon. Now the emphasis of Google Play on the real “playing” action is a bit more emphasized. Moreover, more sophisticated designs are attracting more attention these days.
