Microsoft announced Surface Laptop

Microsoft has added a new addition to its Surface branded devices. The first screenshots were recently released, and the Surface Laptop has become official in the training event the company has organized in New York. The 13.5-inch model introduced by Panos Panay on stage will meet users with the company’s new operating system, Windows 10 S.

Panos Panay, the manager responsible for the devices from Microsoft, stated that they intend to reach the students who have graduated with their new products and are preparing to start university. Panay said that they were talking to the students during the preparation process and that the students wanted a Surface branded laptop. It has a soft keyboard, just like the Surface Pro 4. The company’s video demonstration shows that the device is positioned as a top-class product of the Windows 10 S platform. Only the apps from Windows Store can be installed on the Surface Laptop that comes with Windows 10 S. If you switch to Windows 10 Pro, this restriction will go away.

Unlike the Surface Book, Surface Laptop is a classic laptop. Offered with Platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue and graphite gold color options, the new laptop weighs under 1.3 kilograms. The device’s 13.5-inch PixelSense screen has a 3: 2 aspect ratio. Panay said the laptop uses the thinnest touchscreen LCD panel manufactured on the computer. The screen also supports Microsoft Surface Pen. This makes it possible to draw on the screen.

Panay praised the performance of the new laptop computer, and said the device uses Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, claiming that the computer is faster than an i7-processor MacBook Pro, with an impressive battery life of 14.5 hours. Microsoft also underlined that its battery life is better than all the MacBook Air models on the market. Microsoft says that the steam circles it attached to the aluminum chassis behind the device help cool it down. The speakers are under the keyboard.

It can be pre-ordered today. The Core i5 processor will be available for $ 999, with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD storage. The Microsoft Surface Laptop will take its place in markets on June 15th.
