Apple Watch - WatchOS

WatchOS 4 is coming in autumn

In the Apple WWDC 2017 launch event, the company announced the new version of Apple Watch’s watchOS operating system. The operating system with the name watchOS 4 will be released next fall. The operating system, which brings new features for clock faces, will transmit information to the users according to the time of day or position. The Siri-based interface is also an interesting feature that the operating system brings to the user. With the Siri interface with automatic learning technology, the user will know what information will be available at the moment of the day and will carry this information to the screen. Boarding card, sunset time and smart home control are among the information to be shown on the screen.

Apple, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who also developed a clock face with a flower binoculars design, add other cartoon characters. Woody, Jesse and Buzz from the Toy Story are among the new characters.¬†WatchOS 4 brings updates to Apple’s fitness tracking capabilities. Apple is refreshing the interface of training practice, new co-operation with the manufacturers of training equipment is going. Thanks to these new collaborations, it is aimed to transfer information such as inclination and intensity better in order to keep the training record more accurately. In the statement from Apple, it was stated that Watch owners could connect their devices with NFC to their training equipment. It would not be wrong to say that the new training features will make Apple Watch owners happy to work in gyms.

Music management is also part of Apple’s promise of development with the new watchOS release. Apple Watch, which will automatically capture Apple Music playlists, will support multiple playlists. Renewing the design of the Saatin Dock screen, Apple will be able to navigate through a vertical interface between recently used applications.

Apple’s changes to watchOS 4 do not look as compelling and remarkable as in watchOS 3. The Cupertino-based company looks like it’s focused on improving the user experience in certain areas instead. Especially, the Siri interface, which shows the help of the automatic learning technology and the necessary information to the users at the appropriate times, draws attention to the steps taken in this direction. WatchOS 4 will be downloadable by developers from today. The final version of the operating system will meet with Apple Watch owners in the coming autumn.
