Apple iPhone X

Apple introduced iPhone X | All the Features & Specs

Apple today announced the future of the smart phone, the new iPhone. The spectacular, all-glass design features an impressive 5.8-inch Super Retina screen, the A11 Bionic chip, wireless charging feature and an enhanced rear camera with dual optical image stabilization. Using the new TrueDepth camera-supported Face ID, iPhone X offers a new way for customers to unlock, authenticate, and pay for an innovative and secure way. Pre-order for more than 55 countries and territories will be available for iPhone X on Friday, October 27th. From Friday, November 3, it will be available in stores.

“Ten years is a long time, our goal was to produce an iPhone with a full screen. “This vision of the iPhone X is a reality,” said Jony Ive, Apple’s Vice President of Design. “We were on mobile phones with Multi-Touch when it was introduced to the iPhone market ten years ago. iPhone X is pointing to a new era for the iPhone. It is not the device, but the experience it offers is at the forefront. ”

Phillip Schiller, Apple’s Vice President of Global Marketing, said: “The future of the iPhone X smartphone. The innovative TrueDepth camera system is packed with new extraordinary technologies such as the very fast A11 Bionic Chip with impressive Super Retina display and neural system. iPhone X streamlines and makes new user experiences possible. From launching the iPhone’s lock with Face ID, to playing impressive AR games, to sharing animations in Messages, it’s the beginning of the next decade of the iPhone. ”

The iPhone X opens a new era in design with a full-screen display that accurately follows curves to stylish rounded corners. All of them are made of the most durable glass that a smart phone has up to now, with a glass front and rear silver or space gray color options. The exceptionally bright Apple design strips from a very special stainless steel reinforce the iPhone X by wrapping it around perfectly. The seven-layer painting process provides precise color nuances and opacity over the glass coating. Reflective optic layer reinforces rich colors, making the design as stylish as it is durable, making it resistant to water and dust.

Super Retina Screen

The impressive 5.8-inch Super Retina display is the first OLED panel to come up to iPhone standards. It offers brilliant colors, true black tones, a million contrast ratio per individual, and a smart phone with the best system offering wide color support with generic color management. The HDR display supports Dolby Vision and, together with the HDR10, makes the picture and video content look even more spectacular. The addition of True Tone dynamically adjusts the white balance of the display to match the surrounding light for a more natural, paper-like viewing experience.

iOS 11 has been redesigned to take full advantage of the Super Retina display. The Home Screen button moves quickly and smoothly so that customers can navigate the iPhone X naturally and intuitively. To return to the main screen from any location, simply slide the screen up and down.

Face ID

Using the state-of-the-art TrueDepth camera system, which consists of a Face ID spot projector, infrared camera and streamlined lighting, the iPhone X is revolutionizing the authentication process and powered by the A11 Bionic to accurately map and recognize the face. These advanced depth sensing technologies work together to securely unlock the iPhone, enable Apple Pay, get secure application access, and many more.

Face ID reflects more than 30,000 invisible infrared points. The infrared image and dot shape are sent from the neural networks to create a mathematical model of your face and send the data to the Secure Enclave to verify the match. Moreover, it adapts to the physical changes over time. All information about the face is protected by Secure Enclave with extraordinary security of the data, and the whole process takes place in the device, not in the cloud, to protect user privacy. Face ID opens the lock on iPhone X only when the customer is looking. It is designed to prevent misleading with a photo or mask.

The new 7 Megapixel TrueDepth camera allows Face ID to record a wide color range, offers automatic image stabilization and precise exposure control, and brings portrait mode to the front camera for great selfie with depth of field effect. The iPhone X also has a 12 megapixel dual rear camera system with dual optical image stabilization. The ƒ / 1.8 aperture on the wide-angle camera combines with the ƒ / 2.4 diaphragm on the telephoto camera for better photos and videos. The new color filter, deeper pixels and Apple-designed advanced image signal processor offer advanced pixel processing, wide color fidelity, faster autofocus in dim light, and better HDR photos. True Tone Flash with four new LEDs doubles the light inconstancy and includes the Slow Synchro feature, thus offering more evenly illuminated backs and foregrounds.

The cameras on the iPhone X are specially tuned for an extraordinary AR experience. Each camera is individually calibrated and has new gyroscopes and accelerometers for correct movement. The A11 Bionic CPU performs tracking and environment recognition and the GPU makes amazing graphics possible at 60f / s, while the image signal processor performs real-time light estimation. With ARKit, iOS developers can use TrueDepth to develop games and applications that deliver impressive, fluid experiences that go far beyond the screen, taking advantage of the camera and back cameras. The new camera also offers the highest quality video recording on a smartphone up to now with better video stabilization, 4K video at 60 fps and 1080p at 240 fps. The Apple-designed video codec offers real-time video and motion analysis for the best quality video.

Portrait Portrait mode in the front and rear camera provides great studio lighting effects to the iPhone and allows customers to capture eye-catching portraits with a light depth of field effect in five different light styles. With iOS 11, the iPhone X supports HEIF and HEVC to provide up to two frames of compression and storage for double photos and video.

Animated Emojis

Working with the A11 Bionic, the TrueDepth camera records and analyzes more than 50 different facial movements and then animates these expressions with a dozen different animations, including panda, unicorn, and robot. With an iMessage application preloaded on iPhone X, customers can record and send animated messages that can smile, frown, and more with their own voices.

A11 Bionic

The most powerful and smartest chip ever found on a smartphone, the A11 Bionic has a six-core CPU design with two high-performance coders 25 percent faster than the A10 Fusion and four high-efficiency coders 70 percent faster, and offers energy efficiency. The new, second-generation performance control unit brings together six cores simultaneously, delivering up to 70 percent higher performance for multi-thread workloads and delivering more power to customers with a battery life of two hours longer than the iPhone 7. The A11 Bionic also integrates an Apple-designed GPU with a three-core design that delivers up to 30 percent better graphics performance than previous generations. All this power makes extraordinary new artificial learning technology, AR applications and 3D games possible.

The new A11 Bionic neural system has a dual-core design and performs up to 600 billion transactions per second for real-time processing. The A11 Bionic neural system is designed for specific artificial intelligence algorithms and enables Face ID, Animography and other features.

Designed for Wireless Future

The glass back surface design offers a first-class wireless charging solution. The wireless charging feature works with the designated Qi ecosystem, which includes two new wireless charging mats from Belkin and mophie, available from and the Apple Store.

Apple introduced the Apple-designed wireless charging accessory, AirPower, to be launched in 2018. The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X offers a wide range of active charging areas and an optional new wireless charging case for AirPods that will allow customers to charge up to three devices, including the Apple Watch Series 3, at the same time.
